The native four year old mare, Okairy M., dominated each step of the 1,700 meters to impose on the Clásico DÃa De Reyes, held this past Friday, January 6, at the Hipódromo Camarero as part of the Five Year Anniversary celebration of the managing enterprise of the racing oval at Canóvanas.
Okairy M. was conducted by Edwin Castro, who took advantage of the absence of sprinter rivals to allow the mare be placed in front of the first meters. Thus, aided by a comfortable pace which was established during the first half of the event, saved energies for the instance where the favorite Altiva was strongly placed in second, but not becoming a real threat for the winner. The imported three year old Aracelis Baby M. dominated over four rivals in this year’s edition of the Clásico Año Nuevo, which was held on the seventh race this past Sunday, January 1, delivering prizes for $70,320.
Aracelis Baby M. advanced from the third place to lead over the pointer Sweet Azarel when there were left around 400 meters for the finish line. From that moment it was all for Aracelis Baby M. who was able to stand the advance for the favorite My Wandy’s Girl from the last place. Advanced, but an unsuccessful effort against the winner, finishing second by three lengths and a fourth. [+]

The three year old filly Nora’s Cat encountered no significant rivals during the course of the Clásico Prensa HÃpica, in which she imposed with a lead of nine lengths over the favorite Cuqui’s Love, who finished second in the event held with a distance of 1,900 metros this past Sunday, December 4, at the Hipódromo Camarero.
Nora’s Cat was skillfully conducted by expert jockey jinete Héctor BerrÃos, who ran his mount relaxed in the first 400 meters until the beginning of the first curve, where more acceleration was demanded in order to be placed in the lead, being threatened by the first two rivals of the race.
